Important information for Independence Blue Cross (IBC), Amerihealth Caritas, and Keystone first members

The leading experts in digestive health throughout our region— Main Line Gastroenterology Associates (MLGA), Digestive Disease Associates (DDA), Regional GI (RGI), Carlisle Digestive Disease Associates (CDDA), USDH at Royersford, and West Chester GI (WCGI)—are now affiliated with U.S. Digestive Health (USDH), a growing collective of gastroenterology practices currently focused on providing services in Central and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Together, we are negotiating with IBC for a new agreement that covers the care we provide patients with many IBC health plans, including employer-sponsored, Exchange, and Medicare Advantage plans. We are also negotiating new contracts with IBC-affiliated companies AmeriHealth Caritas and Keystone First that cover the care we provide patients with Medical Assistance (Medicaid) health insurance plans. If we do not reach a new agreement before our contracts expire, our doctors and facilities will be forced out of IBC and AmeriHealth Caritas’ networks, effective January 1, 2021, and Keystone First’s network, effective February 1, 2021.

It’s important to know that nothing changes for now. You can, and should, continue to visit our facilities and doctors for care as you normally would.

We’ve built this site to help you find answers to your questions about our negotiations with IBC, AmeriHealth Caritas, and Keystone First.

If you do not find the answers to your questions, please call our dedicated patient information line at 610-616-5518. This website will be updated as our negotiations continue, so please check back for the most up-to-date information.
